Patti Weber Bio

Patti Weber retired as Chief of Policy for CIA’s National Clandestine Service (NCS) in 2005.  For most of her 30-year career with CIA she was an operations officer engaged in the clandestine collection of human intelligence (HUMINT) and Covert Action, recruiting human spies to provide intelligence to national policy makers.   She lived and worked both in the United States and abroad, specializing in Soviet and East Asian operations. She moved back to Minneapolis in 2005 and currently lives downtown at Loring Green.

Patti was born in Kansas but grew up in Minnesota—Crosby, Golden Valley and Edina.  She graduated from St. Margaret’s Academy and spent three of her college years at the University of Minnesota before receiving a BS degree from American University in Political Science.
