My research focuses on maternal mortality by researching changes in blood flow to the placenta and fetus.. I want to give my utmost gratitude to the donors. This award has helped me so much. It means so much to me that so many of you care about science so deeply. I appreciate it!

My research focuses on iron deficiency in the developing brain. Despite my passion, many times I have thought about quitting the PhD program due to the financial strain on my family . The ARCS award has been a blessing to me and my family. I really appreciate that it allows me to continue my work and focus on my research.
