We can all agree that the coronavirus pandemic has redefined normal. However, we are all adapting, and the Minnesota Chapter of ARCS is no exception. Our meetings and social events are all virtual, including our Scholar Award event. We are full speed ahead in these turbulent times.
There is one thing hasn’t changed and that is the need to support our nation’s most promising scientific leaders. We are relying on scientists to solve the riddle of the novel coronavirus and develop treatments and vaccines.
We are seeing every day that: Science is the Solution!
President Obama has stated,
“Science is more essential for our prosperity, our security, our health, our environment, and our quality of life than it has ever been before. The leadership of tomorrow depends on how we educate our students today, especially in science, technology, engineering, math and medicine (STEM).”
ARCS Foundation Minnesota fosters this national goal by supporting the best of our nation’s STEM graduate students.
When you make a contribution to the ARCS Scholar Award Fund, 100 percent of your contribution is awarded directly to a student without any deductions for overhead.
How Does Giving Help Minnesota?
Our ARCS Scholar Awards are an essential tool for recruiting the best scholars in the nation to come to Minnesota.
ARCS Scholars make a significant contribution to Minnesota’s economy by strengthening the scientific and engineering research programs at the University of Minnesota.
Through networking opportunities and corporate mentorships, ARCS Scholars are encouraged to remain state residents after they complete their degrees and enter the working world.
