Early in 2011, President Obama stated, “Our future depends on reaffirming America's role as the world's engine of scientific discovery and technological innovation. That leadership tomorrow depends on how we educate our students today, especially in science, technology, engineering and math [STEM education].” ARCS Foundation Minnesota fosters this national goal by supporting the best of our nation’s STEM graduate students.
When you make a contribution to the ARCS Scholar Award Fund, 100 percent of your contribution is awarded directly to a student without any deductions for overhead.
How Does Giving Help Minnesota?
Our ARCS Scholar Awards are an essential tool for recruiting the best scholars in the nation to come to Minnesota. ARCS scholars make a significant contribution to Minnesota’s economy by strengthening the scientific and engineering research programs at the University of Minnesota. And, through networking opportunities and corporate mentorships, ARCS scholars are encouraged to remain State residents after they complete their degrees and enter the working world.
