Dr. Ogle is Professor and Department Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota. She is also Director, of the UMN Stem Cell Institute. Learn about her exciting work pairing the power of stem cells with the innovation of engineering.

Minnesota Chapter Scholars
This year we are giving awards to 6 outstanding graduate students in all 6 ARCS-approved departments at the University of Minnesota. ARCS Scholars are recognized by their departments for their potential to greatly impact scientific innovation in their respective fields.

Dr. Ogle’s research looks at the mechanisms by which stem cells contribute to tissues during development. These insights are used together with engineering principles to replace damaged systems, especially in the cardiovascular system.
