Judy Benham from our Chapter went to see Jayshree Seth, 3M's Science Advocate speak at a Minnesota American Chemical Society meeting on November 12th. It contained a 30-minute presentation about 3M's State of Science survey, where they interviewed people from 14 countries to assess their views on science, followed by an hour-long question and answer session, where Jayshee touched on the importance of science advocacy and understanding peoples' views about science. ARCS has an important role to play in science advocacy by demonstrating our support for growing science and technology research in the US.
