On November 3, 2025 the Minnesota Chapter of ARCS honored six exceptional graduate scholars at the University of Minnesota and our 2025 Scientist of the Year, Dr. Brenda Ogle. celebrating their incredible achievements and recognized their potential to change the world through science and innovation.
During the social hour, round table discussions, met the six outstanding University of Minnesota graduate scholars making discoveries in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Neuroscience, Immunology, Biochemistry & Biophysics, and Civil & Environmental Engineering.
We were also pleased to honor Brenda Ogle, PhD, as the 2025 ARCS Minnesota Scientist of the Year. Professor Ogle shared her pioneering work on how cells build and repair heart tissue, including the creation of lab-grown, 3D-printed models of heart muscle that are opening new doors in cardiovascular research. A nationally recognized leader in her field, she is a fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering and the Biomedical Engineering Society.
