Join us for a special program recognizing outstanding achievement in STEM and honoring the scientists shaping the future of discovery.

Program Highlights

Presentation of the 2025 ARCS Minnesota Scholar Awards

Recognition of six exceptional graduate students from the University of Minnesota for their research in:

• Biomedical Engineering
• Computer Science
• Neuroscience
• Immunology
• Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Biophysics
• Civil & Environmental Engineering

2025 ARCS Minnesota Scientist of the Year Award

Brenda Ogle, PhD

Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Pediatrics, University of Minnesota

Dr. Ogle will share her pioneering research on how cells build and repair heart tissue, including the development of lab-grown, 3D-printed models of heart muscle that are transforming cardiovascular research. A nationally recognized leader in her field, Dr. Ogle is a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering and the Biomedical Engineering Society.

Location: Cargill Building, 1500 Gortner Ave, University of Minnesota St. Paul Campus  

The Cargill Building and parking are easily accessible on the University of Minnesota St. Paul campus.

Evening Schedule:  

5:00 – 5:30 pm Registration  

5:30 – 6:30 pm Scholar Round Tables  

• Engage in casual discussions with our ARCS Minnesota Scholars in small groups.  
• Enjoy a buffet and a selection of beverages.  

6:30 – 7:30 pm Program
