This zoom event is open to ARCS Minnesota members and guests. Please invite others who may want to learn about ARCS.

Zoom information will follow in a separate email.

See you on Zoom!

Sze Cheng - Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics

Sze Cheng is a PhD Candidate in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics department at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She is studying pre-mRNA processing in cancer by integrating gene editing, biochemistry, and molecular biology approaches. Her research will further the understanding of how specific mutations promote cancer progression and will shed light on the mechanisms of novel therapeutic targets.

Matt Lawler - Biomedical Engineering

Matt is a 2nd year PhD student in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota. His research focus is on the utilization of programmable drug capsules and 3D bioprinting to differentiate induced pluripotent stem cells into 3D multicellular cardiac tissue. Matt aims to produce research in the space of cardiovascular biofabrication which will push the field closer to develop viable tissues for implantation.
