What is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine is a personalized, patient-centered approach to health care that evaluates genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors which can influence long-term health and contribute to complex, chronic disease. These techniques can help manage conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis. Functional medicine practitioners focus on nutritional balance and lifestyle changes to address the underlying causes of disease and promote optimal health and vitality.
